Support for Boarding Schools

"For over seven years, Debbie Bushell has offered wonderful ideas and support to my boarding parents, staff and students. Her seminars are highly relevant to the challenges that may face boarding families. Debbie's concepts for boarding staff have also assisted me to develop a cohesive team of caring and dedicated staff. I highly recommend Debbie's seminars."

Parent, Staff And Student Seminars.

I have the honour of supporting parents (and their children) with positive ideas whilst their precious teenagers attend boarding school; whether parents live overseas, in country towns or isolated areas.

Parents not only receive specific strategies that make a huge difference to their parenting; they also receive mutual shared support and fellowship from other parents who share similar challenges often associated with isolation or boarding. I feel a great sense of pride that I am able to offer this kind of support to boarding parents and their children. I am also grateful for the support that I receive from Heads of Boarding in schools.

"Awe-Inspiring is a good word to describe Debbie Bushell. The respected parent teen coach is at once practical and inspirational. Local mums and dads who attended her recent session walked away with a stash of good ideas to put into practice at home."

"I just wanted to let you know how empowered and content I felt after attending your workshop yesterday and excited about having our teens all together for the weekend. We all had some laughs on the three and a half hour trip home practicing the different styles of listening as the journey progressed and the children were talking about their studies and friends. So they're having the obligatory sleep-in at present and then I'm going to embark on an agreement for a little house help!"

Mum from Beacon.

"Thank you for the opportunity to participate in the Boarder Parent Coaching Forum. We found the sessions informative and helpful. We have been left with strategies and skills that we have used already and plan to fall back on in the future with both our son and daughter. Debbie was very professional and offered a personal approach catering for the different needs of our children. The opportunity to get to know other parents was nice too. These discussions are personal and could be intimidating, but at all times we felt safe and confident to share our anxieties and experiences." Mum and Dad from Derby.

"I wanted to say thank you for organising the Parent Coach Session. The session was helpful and inspiring. The resources are excellent. I am very grateful for the experience and I have already been able to put some of my news skills to use. Well done for being so proactive in the support of your boarding community." Parent from Karratha.

"Thank you sincerely Debbie for passing on your ideas which we would never have thought of doing before. They have made a big difference not just to the way we communicate to our boys but in terms of how we do so."

"I would like to say that things are so much better now. I don't feel so isolated from her and understand that my role has really not changed that much. Thank you Debbie for your programme."

"My daughter really struggled to begin with and we did too. It wasn't easy but your ideas really did help. She is much happier now and the most valuable part of your programme was about me knowing how to really listen."
